Order Types
Overview
An order is a request to buy or sell cryptocurrency according to specified conditions.
Cifra X supports the following order types:
- Limit Order
- Market Order
- TP/SL Order
Limit Order
A Limit Order allows you to buy or sell cryptocurrency at a price specified by you.
You set:
- the buy or sell price
- the amount of cryptocurrency
The order will only be executed when the market price reaches the specified value.
Example
The current BTC price is 100,000 USDT.
You create a Limit Order:
- Buy BTC at 95,000 USDT
- Amount: 0.01 BTC
The order will remain open until the BTC price reaches 95,000 USDT.
Market Order
A Market Order allows you to buy or sell cryptocurrency immediately at the current market price.
You specify:
- the amount of cryptocurrency
- or the transaction amount
The price is determined automatically based on current offers in the order book.
Features
- execution happens almost instantly
- the final price may slightly differ due to market changes and available liquidity
TP/SL Order
TP/SL (Take Profit / Stop Loss) is a conditional order that helps automate trade management.
It consists of two functions:
Take Profit
Used to lock in potential profits.
Example:
- You bought BTC at 100,000 USDT
- You set Take Profit at 110,000 USDT
When the price reaches the specified value, the system automatically creates a sell order.
Stop Loss
Used to limit potential losses.
Example:
- You bought BTC at 100,000 USDT
- You set Stop Loss at 95,000 USDT
When the price drops to the specified value, the system automatically creates a sell order.
Comparison of Order Types
| Order Type | When to Use | Feature |
|---|---|---|
| Limit Order | When you need a specific price | Executes only when the price reaches the specified level |
| Market Order | When you need to buy or sell immediately | Executes at the current market price |
| TP/SL Order | For automatic trade management | Activates when the specified price is reached |
Important
- A Limit Order may not be executed if the market price does not reach the specified value.
- A Market Order executes faster, but the final price depends on market conditions.
- TP/SL helps automate trading but does not guarantee profit.
- Before creating an order, check the selected trading pair, price, and amount.
